eBAY SPRING CAMPAIGN

This spring campaign proposal for eBay was highly data driven. Using location details from the
customer’s shipping address combined with the local weather forecast, we proposed three versions of the same
email & display banners that featured products best suited to good weather – eg. garden and outdoors etc;
wet weather – eg. home entertainment; and mixed/average – eg. a wider selection of products.

If the forecast is wet then the hero image and headline changes to something more appropriate as well as the products within the email.

Dynamic display ads offer the same level of personalisation with relevant copy and imagery to reflect the weather at point of deployment.

We proposed a set of display adverts for the Spring campaign that would retarget customers based upon previous browse behaviour. Headlines would also be tailored to suit weather forecast.
